Hine Rei is dedicated to empowering communities through Rongoā Māori healing practices to foster mana based wellbeing. We offer a range of traditional and holistic services delivered by qualified Māori practitioners in a safe and healing environment.
Our mahi is grounded in matauranga māori and our goal is to make Rongoā Māori accessible to everyone.
OUR MAHI
MIRIMIRI/ROMIROMI
Mirimiri/Romiromi is a traditional Māori healing practice that work holistically to restore balance and well-being. It acknowledges the interconnectedness of tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), wairua (spirit), and ngākau (heart), addressing imbalances held within these spaces.
KŌMIRIMIRI PREGNANCY
Kōmirimiri is about the preparing Mama and Pēpi ā wairua, ā hinengaro and ā tīnana leading up to birth. It’s honouring this time for healing and nurturing so our Mama can surrender and be open to vulnerability within her birthing space.
WHITIWHITIKORERO
Whitiwhitikorero is a unique Māori-centred counselling and consultation service designed to provide guidance and support from a Te Ao Māori (Māori world) perspective. This service creates a safe and culturally affirming space for kōrero (dialogue), allowing individuals to explore personal challenges, seek advice, and navigate life's journey with indigenous wisdom.

We have partnered with several organisations to make Rongoā Māori more accessible to more whānau. Please find below an overview of our partners and how to access our mahi through them.
EAP Service Providers
Hine Rei is a registered provider with EAP Services, Ignite and Southern Cross (also know as Raise). If your employer uses one of these providers to offer wellbeing services to employees please follow their booking/enquiry process.
Please note that Rongoā Māori is an optional service for employers to offer under some EAP provider relationships. If you are unsure if Rongoā Māori is an option in your workplace please check with the EAP provider directly.
ACC
Hine Rei is a registered vendor providing Rongoā Māori services through the ACC pathway. To access our services please contact ACC to gain approval from for Rongoā Māori to be added to your claim as a part of your rehabilitation. Our vendor code is VBL102 which may be required as part of your request to ACC. Once approved please contact us via email to confirm the booking process.
